Energy Manager
David Adams has been working as the University of Victoria Energy Manager for 4 years. A certified energy manager, his role is to develop and execute the campus Strategic Energy Master Plan, which involves implementing energy and greenhouse gas conversation projects, enhancing the energy monitoring program, and researching new technology to further reduce campus energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. As a member of the BC Hydro Energy Manager program, David is connected to a network of energy managers across BC that share energy management best practices and emerging energy conservation trends in the commercial and industrial building sector. David has presented his work at the BC Climate Action Secretariat Carbon Neutral Symposium and the BC Hydro Energy Manager Conference. His education includes a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from UVic and a master of engineering degree in Clean Energy Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
